The Cadillac V-Series.R is the newest weapon from General Motors competing in both the IMSA and FIA WEC championships. The V-series.R lineup consists of 3 cars, with all a highlight colour from the Cadillac logo: the gold #1 and red #31 drive in the IMSA series, and #2 in blue competes overseas in the WEC and Le Mans. The #2 is in homage to the first Cadillac entry at Le Mans in 1950.
The Cadillac is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.5 liter V8 engine, and has perhaps the best sounding engine of the Hypercar field.
The model
The cadillac was a difficult model to capture, with the vertical lights and floating blades. Besides that, the model is designed with the other colour versions (yellow and red) in mind, so that each version can be built without changes to the design. This meant some limitations in design, but with blue being the most restricted colour, this had little effect.
The car scale’s nicely with the other 4 hypercars, and sticks out significantly thanks to its striking blue and black colourscheme.
