Spyker C8 Spyder GT2-R
Original price was: $59.99.$22.99Current price is: $22.99.
After building the standard Spyker C8-Spyder last summer, it was inevitable that one day I would tackle one of the GT2 cars that raced over the course of the 2000’s. And I am pleased to inform, that the time has come!
This version is based of the Spyker GT2 with chassis number 046 which raced from march 19th 2005 until september the 24th 2006 in races like the the 24 Hours of Le Mans where it was driven by: Tom Coronel, Peter van Merksteijn and Donny Crevels. Sadly in this race the car Broke down during the evening hours. In later races the car became more succesful with podium finished at races like the 500 Kilometres of Dubai and 1000 Kilometres of Jarama.
While Spyker raced with many different cars in the 2000’s (some of which where more successful then the 046 chassis) I decided to make this one as in my opinion it received the best livery. There is something cool about the giant Spyker logo on the sides (which was a pain to design in Illustrator).
The model is similar to my standard LEGO Spyker C8, but it received quite some changes in the form of: a spoiler, racing interior and flared wheel arches.
