Bowtie Camaro 2nd Gen & Bumblebee Mech

Featuring a 2nd generation Chevrolet Camaro in Bumblebee’s iconic livery and a fully brick-built Bumblebee mech! This set brings together the best of both worlds—a sleek, vintage muscle car and a posable robot that captures the spirit of everyone’s favorite Autobot from the Transformers series.

The 2nd generation Camaro in this set is modeled after the Bumblebee version seen in the first Transformers movie, making it a must-have for fans of the franchise and car enthusiasts alike. The Camaro’s bold yellow and black livery pays tribute to Bumblebee’s classic look, and I’ve put extra care into replicating the car’s distinct lines and aggressive styling. To achieve the black racing stripes, I used strips cut out from a spent sticker sheet, adding an extra layer of detail that brings the car’s design to life. This model was one of the most challenging Camaros I’ve ever built, with the 2nd generation’s unique shape proving particularly tricky to capture in LEGO form. I focused on nailing the Camaro’s muscular, retro appearance while incorporating fun techniques like SNOT (Studs Not on Top) building, brackets, and modified bricks to achieve the desired look.

While this Camaro doesn’t transform like its cinematic counterpart, I didn’t want to miss out on capturing Bumblebee’s robot form. That’s why I’ve included a fully articulated brick-built Bumblebee mech in the set. The mech features multiple points of articulation, allowing for dynamic poses and action-packed displays. It’s detailed enough to stand out on its own and brings an extra layer of playability and display options to this two-pack. Be mindful, though—he’s a bit top-heavy, so careful posing is recommended to keep him upright!
