Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all! To get in the holiday spirit, I have built my latest free to download MOC: a winter cabin in the countryside. This model contains 1812 parts and is built in an oval shape with a clean looking black border. For this reason, it looks good from all angles and would therefore be good as a holiday-themed centrepiece on a table. It has four sections that can be easily removed from each other:
The ground floor contains a small kitchen, a fireplace and a stairwell hiding a supply of presents. It is built into the oval base at a roughly 50 degree angle to create an unusual profile from all angles. The outside area contains details such as a wood store, a snowman, a deciduous tree with a bird box and several pine trees. On the left hand side is a small lake with plants and a wooden balcony overlooking it, surrounded by pine trees. A snowy path leads up to the front door of the house.
The first floor has a bedroom with a display of recent Lego sets: the Boutique Hotel, Jazz Club and Police Station modulars on one shelf and the Ford Mustang and Porsche 911 car sets on the other. There is also a small bathroom on one side with a toilet and sink.
The second floor has a small room running down the middle with boxes of supplies and presents. It also creates the smooth curves of the snowy roof.
The roof caps off the top of the model with a small 4 wide section.
